The Parkersburg South Patriots(6-0) now sit at #2 in the newly released, WVSSAC Playoff Ratings which were released today as they passed The Martinsburg Bulldogs(6-0), who now sits at #3. First year head coach Nathan Tanner and his Patriots are off to a fast start to the 2019 season. The Patriots got their first signature win of the season when they went to Huntington last week, a MSAC contender year in and year out beating them 30-21. A lot of credit is due to senior quarterback Brandon Penn, who has been nothing less of impressive for The Patriots in leading them to (6-0). Penn can beat you with his feet, but also his arm. The Patriots as a team has put up 280 points(2nd in class AAA) to allowing 150 points(7th in class AAA). Penn's favorite target is senior wide receiver Dylan Day, while junior running back Devin Gaines keeps it moving on the ground. Wisconsin wrestling commit Braxton Amos has been a force up front on the defensive side for The Patriots. The Patriots next game is 10/18 at Morgantown as they have a bye this week.
