Upcoming Old Dominion commit Devin Lester and The Graham G-Men of Bluefield, Virginia look to defend their state title this high school football season. With the likes of Purdue commit Cameron Allen, Chris Shinault and Gabriel Sesco, Lester has made his impact for The G-Men since his sophomore season transferring from Bluefield High School in West Virginia which is a rival of Graham's. A rival that's bigger than the 2 communities and state's that it's storied out through the nation! Lester will have help as Graham returns senior RB/DB Trevesse Booker, senior RB/DB Isiah Justice, along with what some say the best linebacker duo in the state that involves seniors Nick Kastner and Aaron Edwards. The line will be led by D1 product Brody Meadows, who is just a upcoming sophomore but already has offers from Purdue, Virginia, and Marshall. Lester, who is known to play multiple positions will most likely play quarterback for his senior season, but looks to play slot receiver at the D1 level as he did all of last season as well as defensive back and you can probably see him as a return specialist. Lester had 62 catches for 1,459 yards and 15 touchdowns along with 386 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior year. On the defensive side, he recorded 78 tackles and 6 interceptions. The G-Men are coming off of a impressive post-season run as they beat Virginia High 42-18, Richlands 38-10, Radford 57-13, and Goochland in the state title 31-9! Graham Head Coach Tony Palmer is a large part of their success putting them in position to win and bring the championship back home since 1989 as it marks The G-Men's 2nd state title. Palmer is entering his 5th season with a record of 42-11. The G-Men start off the season at Mitchell Stadium on the away side of the stadium against Bluefield looking for revenge as The Beavers gave The G-Men their only loss of the season 38-14 in week 1. Kick-off is set for 7:30 on August 30th.
