Bluefield's RB/LB Tony Webster after scoring a touchdown in a game last season

For The Bluefield Beavers this season, they are all playing for #5. Tony Webster(Dec 4, 2001-Jan 16th, 2019) was a upcoming senior at Bluefield High School preparing for his senior season as he collapsed during a workout and later passed at a hospital in Roanoke, Va. Webster had played all 3 years at Bluefield including being a 2017 state champ as well as breaking powerlifting records in the junior class(age 16-17). He weight in at 154 pounds recording a total lift of 1,102 pounds with a squat of 380, a deadlift of 446, and a bench press of 303. All of this was a USPA National Powerlifting record. During Webster's 3 years, The Beavers had a record of (30-8) making the playoffs twice both advancing to the state title game. The Beaver's already return talent and are primed for a big season, but this adds bigger motivation as they plan to bring The 2019 West Virginia Class AA State Championship and ring back to Bluefield and for Tony Webster. We would like to remember Tony and send our condolences his family, friends, coaches, and the community of Bluefield. Below is a link to Webster's junior year highlights!

Wayne's Colt Adams during a game last season

The Wayne Pioneers are trying to get back to years of dominance where they once were by winning titles, and have even more motivation now with the loss of true sophomore MLB/TE Colt Adams(Nov 6th, 2002-May 28th, 2019). Adam's was in a fatal car crash halfway between Lavalette and Wayne passing away in the hospital. He earned All-Cardinal Conference 1st-team and he also played basketball for The Pioneers. In Adam's 2 years, The Pioneers had a overall record of (18-5) making the playoffs each of those years advancing to the quarterfinals in one of them. We would like to remember Colt and send our condolences his family, friends, coaches, and the community of Wayne. Below is a link to Adam's sophomore year highlights.
